Keeping Busy (Guest Post by Adam Palmer)

So, quick rundown of the last week in the lives of Adam and Rizobetto Palmer.

First a little shameless self-promotion…we got our first (and soon second) song up on itunes.  We have been working way too hard on recording and mixing, but it has turned out quite well.

Sunday we played at an annual music festival in front a couple hundred people, and since then have made connections with at least 4 or 5 people, a couple of which expressed interest in recording with/for us (fingers crossed)

In passing yesterday, one of Lizbet’s friends mentioned that she grew up with a personally knows both Steven Curtis Chapman and Michael W. Smith…and knows them well enough to get them a demo of some of the praise songs I have been writing.

A local news station wants to do segment on a violin and piano that (if I am correct) survived the atomic bomb, and would like for Lizbet to play the violin for it.

The president of the school has asked me to run a weekly bible study for both staff and interested students, as there aren’t many means here for them to learn apologetics, biblical history, or even the proper method of understanding and applying the bible.

And on top of all of that, Lizbet and I met a new couple who just moved to Japan and were able to invite them to church last week…and I was able to invite one of the women we play music with a lot to come to church this Sunday (fingers crossed again).

It’s almost as though God is saying “alright, you want something to do, some purpose and passion to pursue, here are a handful of options, take your pick!”.  We have truly had a string of blessing beyond belief (most recently a washing machine), and our request would simply be prayer for wisdom in which options to pursue, which to pass on, and how we can most intentionally witness to those around us.

I’m very happy to hear things are going so well and you have a lot of opprtunities. You’ve had some rough times so you can appreciate these good times much more. Praying for both of you to keep following where the Lord leads. Thanks for posting such great news!

Wow! Praise the Lord. He is truly, truly answering all of our prayers, especially mine for you two. What great ministry opportunities, and yes, I will continue to pray for discernment, wisdom and guidance in you two choosing God’s will for which ministry you are to pursue.

Michael W. Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman, a washing machine (much needed), music opportunities and venues, great ministry opportunities-When God opens doors, He OPENS doors. You two are coveted by so much with prayers or us who love you and know the power of prayer. What great blessings! What great testimonies that God has given to you two.

BTW don’t cross your fingers. Pray and Praise Him, instead.(smile). Love and missing you, guys.

Oh yes, God will guide you in which choices to make, but I do feel that the Bible study at the University is the greatest door opened, and the greatest opportunity to evangelize Japan, to fulfill the Great Commission, and to make disciples. It is also the biggest challenge, but think of the influence that educational facilities have on the worldview of the people, especially colleges and universities. It, too, is a temendous way to grow for you as you prepare such challenging and in-depth information to teach to them.

Wow…talk about your options!! It has been such an encouragement to hear all that God is doing in, through and for you two. May He continue to pour out his favor on you. Miss you both a lot.
